VOICE OVER ARTIST

Peggy studied the unique techniques of voice-overs with well-known artists Wendy Dillon and Batt Johnson in New York City.  She also attended the Susan Berkeley Voice Artist Bootcamp in 2018 and is currently working with Pam Almand, a multiple award-winning narrator here in north Florida. Peggy also has a background in acting and production which enhances her ability as a voice artist. She worked for IBM Corporation in New York for many years and learned a lot being part of an elite team that produced major events and industrial shows for thousands of people each year. A former Jacksonville University Theatre Major, Peggy has performed in New York City and Westchester County, NY, as well as in Connecticut and Florida. She was a member of The Village Light Opera Group of NYC for 25 years and was featured as “Faith Phrump” in the 2011 film short “Photo Finish,” featured at the Hoboken Film Festival and others in 2011. These days, Peggy can often be found working backstage or performing at Players by the Sea Theatre in Jacksonville Beach.

WRITER/EDITOR

Peggy worked for a newspaper just out of high school in Stamford, CT. At the Stamford Advocate, she was the organization’s first female “copyboy” and eventually became “morgue librarian” and writer of theatrical reviews and feature articles. She later attended Jacksonville University as a theatre major and then returned to the north, where she worked for IBM Corporation for many years while acting in local theatre. As a member of the Village Light Opera Group in NYC for 25 years, Peggy was at various times a performer, producer, board member, and marketing programs leader. In her non-performing roles with VLOG, and throughout her years at IBM in operations management, corporate marketing communications and the production of major events and industrial shows, Peggy found that writing and communications were always a big part of her success.

After leaving IBM in the mid-2000s, Peggy freelanced as a writer and communications specialist for companies such as GAB Robins, MasterCard Worldwide, and Brooklyn Healthcare. After moving to Florida, she earned her certification in copyediting from MediaBistro and has edited articles, newsletters, and books for various local business owners, non-profits and authors. Since 2017, Peggy has been the content manager and writer for Atlantic Beach Living, a monthly print publication for residents of Atlantic Beach.
